My smartphone has a great camera. Why shouldn't I just use that?
Your phone probably has a good camera and it's great for capturing a few minutes of video, but your memories deserve better. I use a professional camera, studio quality lighting and a clip-on microphone. For good video you need good sound. The microphone in your camera won't cut it. I edit the 'footage,' then add titles and your photos. I deliver a DVD (or DVDs) to you in a custom printed box.
How much does it cost?
It's only $500.00. That includes me coming to your location, set up of my equipment, shooting about an hour of video, editing the video. I provide your video via file transfer.
Where will we shoot the video?
Usually your home, but we can shoot at a different location if you'd like. Your church or the library are options. You make the arrangements and pay any rent or fees.
How long will it take?
It takes me some time to set up and take down my equipment and we shoot about an hour of video. 2 to 3 hours of 'location' time is realistic. It will take me a week or two to edit and produce your DVD.
Can I add my own photos?
What should I wear?
It's important you be comfortable. However, it's best not to wear a lot of white (a white dress shirt without a suite coat, for example) or clothes with a small, busy pattern. Makeup (or additional makeup) is not necessary.
Who owns the copyright?
It's your video. You can do with it whatever you want.
Can I write a script that I can read?Yes, but please don't. Except as listed below, these stories should come from your heart. Everything you have to say is in you. However, you should make some notes to jog your memory and practicing is a very good idea. I will edit out any mistakes, fumbles words, coughs, ringing phones and such. You are sharing your memories, not words on paper.

Can we have two people in the video?
Yes. I can shoot two people.
Do you do weddings?
I do not do weddings.
